What a crock of @#$&!

John Phoebus should be ashamed!  Bob Ehrlich should be ashamed.
These two are the biggest enemies to CONSERVATIVE voters in Maryland.

Mr. Phoebus can't run on his OWN merit in the primary! These "Star Powered" endorsements, high dollar fundraising events and scantly clad young women are just TOO MUCH for this conservative female voter! We know he is bought and paid for by the wealthy of somerset county and now will be guaranteed to be Bob Ehrlich's "YES" man. I urge EVERYONE to send a candidate who displays real honor and integrity to the Maryland House of Delgates. Mr. Phoebus, YOU AIN'T IT!

Mr. Ehrlich is losing votes fast on the shore by getting involved in OUR primary election.  It's up to the people of this district to pick who THEY want to represent them in Annapolis, NOT MR. EHRLICH! What are you going to do Bobby when someone besides John Phoebus takes that seat.  Our former governor needs to focus on his primary!  Why won't you debate Mr. Murphy?  Are you that scared you'll look like the RINO you are?  Come on now Mr. Ehrlich, earn your SALT and spend an evening discussing the issues with a real CONSERVATIVE, Brian Murphy!

This was ridiculous!

I must apologize; I have been out of town with the family for a few days and unable to respond to this ridiculous debacle until now.

Apparently there was quite a ruckus made over Gary Kleiman (registered sex offender) attending the Wicomico County Republican Club meeting. It is absurd to think Mrs. Brewington's daughter would be in any kind of danger, surrounded by such a responsible and conservative crowd. I do not believe the little girl was at any time left unattended with Mr. Kleiman and the harassment Mrs. Brewington has received over this is shameful.
Let me point out a few overlooked things. First of all, Mrs. Brewington should be commended for even seeking public office. Most of the "peanut gallery" that had ridiculed her the past few months have never and will never put their name on a ballot. Secondly, she should be commended for allowing her children to witness this process first hand. After all, children are the future of this country and we will need them to run for office one day. Last but not least, the coverage of a campaign should be about the issues. Attacking someone’s children, a candidate’s parenting ability or their choice of attire is pretty juvenile. Straight out of high school, can't we grow up.

Unfortunately, the attendance of a registered sex offender, while no doubted unwelcome by this conservative organization, is a touchy situation. I'm sure Mr. Kleiman feels he has the right to attend any public meetings, I do not believe Club Meetings are PUBLIC. All Clubs and Organizations need to review their governing bylaws and set a standard for acceptable attendees. For example: the exclusion of convicted felons or individuals deemed NOT in good standing in the community.

I would recommend the Republican Club of Wicomico County require attendees to be at minimum, registered voters in the state of Maryland. Preferably a resident of Wicomico County, since not belonging to either of these groups; you would have no real purpose at this function. Obviously, credentialed NEWS MEDIA representatives should be welcomed also.

With that being said, Mr. Albero, a resident of Delaware should be as unwelcome to a Wicomico County Republican Club event as Gary Kleiman. Mr. Albero and his blog should focus more on his resident city, county and state.  Why don't you two guys find somewhere else to hang out and let the respectable citizens of Wicomico County, Maryland deal with their political issues.

Will Phoebus Knuckle Under When YOU Need Him?

In support of the question posted on the Salisbury Grinch Blog:

"The talk of combining Washington High and Crisfield High into one central Somerset County High School are quietly creeping back to the surface with the tough economic times the Country is facing. How much money could be saved in this move? Would locals think differently about this with what is happening around them?"

It appears Mr. Phoebus knuckled under last time.  I would remind everyone to review the old adage about Leopards and Spots.  We need a delegate willing to make those hard decisions! I submit to you a copy of a letter I received:

Johnny's numbers are in!

Ok Folks, hold on to your hats!
John Phoebus' campaign financing reports are in and boy oh boy...

The two biggest contributions are just as we expected!
Eddie Heath's Crab Pots & Supply Co., Inc.   $4000
Margaret A. Lankford $4000

Followed by:
James V Anthenelli  $2000
Otway Russo, LLP  $1000

I ask you folks, is accepting $11,000 in 4 contributions reflective of the general constituency of District 38A?  Who is he going to be working for, Lawyers and "Mr. I've got more money than god" or little ole' you and me?

Johnny Boy, sometimes you have to say "No Thank You..."

But that isn't all of it, wait till you see where he is spending his money!

Mr. Phoebus apparently was unable find a company in his district or for the much, State of Maryland to purchase his Signs, Banners and T-Shirts from? That is appalling!

He spent $7400.00 with a company in Delmar, DE for his advertising materials! Did you pay the sales tax Mr. Phoebus? Marylanders need work too and I'm glad to see how hard you are working to promote business in Maryland!

Looks like Johnny Boy might have "run" his course.

It looks like Mr. Phoebus' lack of responsibility has brought him an unfavorable conclusion from a fellow blogger.  Maybe he and Kristy Hickman can enjoy private practice together after the November election. Hopefully he has learned, in an honest persons world; it's not always who you know but how you play the game.

Melissa Morris Burial

PAUPER BURIAL

County Commissioners agreed to donate $250 toward funeral expenses for Melissa Morris of Princess Anne who died recently of injuries from a domestic assault. The money will come from the county's pauper burial fund.

I hope the citizens of Somerset County can do a little better for this poor woman's final resting place.  Must I remind everyone, she was the mother of 6 children.  Regardless what decisions she made in her life, her friends and neighbors need to show their support and make sure her grave is properly marked and maintained.  It is important her children have a place to visit and pay respect to their mother.

If anyone would like to help please email me or respond to this blog thread and we will see what can be organized to assist these children.

Looks like Mr. Phoebus makes the blogs again!

BTW, what ever you do, DON'T get too close to any Phoebus Signs. If something unfortunate happens to the sign or it gets damaged, Mr. Phoebus will call the State Police on you.  Yes folks, Mr. Phoebus called the Maryland State Police and accused an Otto campaign worker who was putting up a sign (with permission from the land owner) near a wind damaged (poorly erected) sign.  What a whiny, thin skinned  cry baby who jumps to conclusions.  Is this the kind of person you wnat to represent you in Annapolis?

I sure hope the people wake up before the primary!

Can't he win on his own merits?

This, my friends is an example of a man who will stop at nothing to get to Annapolis just to be popular! Mr. Phoebus has pushed for a Fundraiser with special guest Kendel S. Ehrlich. This is a primary for crying out loud! Mr. Ehrlich had better be working on his campaign.  Come on Mr. Murphy, You can do it!

Why can’t Mr. Phoebus go door to door and meet his constituents and win their votes with his deeds, not using every name he can think up in the Republican Party. Who's next? I'm waiting for him to appear in a photo in Crisfield with Ronald Reagan or Abe Lincoln any day now!

On the flip side, why can’t Mr. Ehrlich butt out of OUR primary! What will he do if Mr. Phoebus loses? He could end up with a strong Conservative Republican Delegate from 38A that won’t be his “YES” man, if he makes it back to the Governor’s Mansion.

I STRONGLY urge all good Republicans to boycott this event on August 12, 2010 at Holloway Hall. I recommend the other 3 Candidates in District 38A get out and meet the voters and ask for their vote. Let them know you will be their voice in Annapolis not Bob Ehrlich’s “Yes” man.

Don't waste your vote my friends!

Is this an example of what is to come if Mr. Phoebus is elected to the House of Delegates?

Continuation of the typical Lawyer Finger Pointing at the expense of the constituents?

Maybe we need to send someone with some common sense to Annapolis....
