I ask you folks, is accepting $11,000 in 4 contributions reflective of the general constituency of District 38A? Who is he going to be working for, Lawyers and "Mr. I've got more money than god" or little ole' you and me?
Johnny Boy, sometimes you have to say "No Thank You..."
But that isn't all of it, wait till you see where he is spending his money!
Mr. Phoebus apparently was unable find a company in his district or for the much, State of Maryland to purchase his Signs, Banners and T-Shirts from? That is appalling!
He spent $7400.00 with a company in Delmar, DE for his advertising materials! Did you pay the sales tax Mr. Phoebus? Marylanders need work too and I'm glad to see how hard you are working to promote business in Maryland!
Isnt there a business right in the Marion area that does tshirts? I'm sure they would have loved to have taken in the $$$$, and done a good job. Or better yet, maybe they were smart enough to turn the job down cause they didnt want their name associated with him?? He's sneaky, sneaky, sneaky.

Yes, they said they want to expose the truth, it just happens to be exposing your guy for the wishy-washy career politician that he is, beholden only to his biggest contributors and special interests.

Oh yeah, and I guess the Otto signs from my yard and that of my neighbor's just grew legs and walked away all by their wittle selves, right?
ReplyDeleteThis 'truth' is only opinions. People who complain about his financial support, friends, connections, his mother, Kendal Erlich, etc... it's all JEALOUSY. Why wouldn't you get as many people in your corner as possible? It would be stupid not to. He'll do just fine. Wait and see :)
ReplyDeleteIt's political suicide (in any other area) to align one's self with candidates of the "other" party during a primary campaign. Only in Somerset County can a (so-called) Republican be hailed as a hero by his party because he supports, takes contributions from, and campaigns side-by-side with liberal Democrats DURING THE PRIMARY CAMPAIGN. Doesn't ANYONE else find this curious? I beg, would the REAL Republican Party of Somerset County PLEASE stand up?

ReplyDeleteThe information posted I post on this blog is to enlighten and inform people about things I feel are of interest. If you can point out any disinformation I have posted on this blog, I suggest you do so or shut up.
Now as to your implication of the Otto "Clan" stealing Mr. Phoebus' signs, what proof do you have? Lay down your cards and backup your claim otherwise, once again shut up. I highly doubt any of the Campaign workers for Charles Otto would be involved in such childish tactics. Unfortunately, I can't speak for the integrity of the Phoebus camp, as Mr. Phoebus has harrassed people about Dan Powell signs and had a few of his own returned to him for such transgressions.
Has it ever struck you that people might lash out, on their own, and do things out of passionate support for their candidate? Why does it have to be a member of anyone’s campaign?
Making your unfounded statement is what makes these campaigns appear UGLY. Stop making these unfounded accusations and stick to facts.
As to this particular blog post topic, I felt the need to highlight the money behind the campaigns, that my friend is as important as the issues themselves. Everyone has grumbled about a candidate one time or another and who gave them a bunch of money, don't lie. Besides, if it wasn't a big deal, why are there so many laws pertaining to it?
Big money usually leads to trouble and a disenfranchised constituent, bottom Line!
How humourous that one has to be pro-anything else to be anti-Phoebus. I live in Wicomico and just trying to check the facts, jack.
ReplyDeleteFunny how the Somerset County Republicans forget (or perhaps are just unaware of) how their Boy Wonder abandoned them as soon as he was no longer Pres of the GOP Club - quit them all together - or that he outright snubbed his fellow Somerset Countians in favor of people with "more important" titles at a gathering at the Governor's home. Now he's again abandoned his principles (or perhaps truly revealing them) with his choice of campaign alignments.

When the states attorney ( Democrat meets Phoebus , Republican ) talk about , whats that about the enemy , Where is the Republican central comity , or Democrats. No brainier , Tea Party , look out here we come !
